(Music inspired by the visual art of Van Gogh, Warhol & Hartmann)

7:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026
Greaves Concert Hall, NKU

Visual art has inspired music for centuries. The art of Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, and Viktor Hartmann will be projected over the orchestra as the KSO performs the works evoked by them. Local Ryle H.S. graduate and CCM student Andrew Strawn’s Flowers from Vincent receives its world premiere, along with an area premiere of Michael Daugherty’s Warhol inspired work.  Modest Mussorgsky’s war-horse (orchestrated by Ravel) closes the program spotlighting visual art.  See the art, and experience the old and new music that it inspired with the KSO.
