Beat Beethoven and the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra in a live performance of the immortal 5th Symphony!
Starts at the Devou Park Amphitheater, Covington, KY
Runners and walkers will want to get in on the KSO’s Beethoven 5k Run that opens a unique concert (and workout). The race — complete with T- shirts and awards— will start with the famous opening four note motif of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. The goal is to run through picturesque Devou Park (Covington, KY) and back to the bandshell before the KSO plays the final notes of this immortal Symphony. (Click here to register for race)
After the race and the awards ceremony, stick around and join area fitness instructors as they test everyone’s metal in a boot camp workout dubbed “Sweatin’ to the Symphony”— the KSO’s non-stop grouping of 17 well – known classics featuring works by Bizet, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rossini, Brahms and many more.
