From 1940-1960 various composers were commissioned to write 8-12 minute works for piano and orchestra to be featured within films. The most famous is the “Warsaw Concerto” of Addinsell, which was inserted into Dangerous Moonlight. Another included speaking and performing roles for great classical artists of the time like Arthur Rubenstein and Eugene Ormandy. Local pianists Edward Neeman, Steven Hinnenkamp, Marcus Küchle, and Scot Woolley will join the KSO for this lush season finale.
